Wolf and 3S at Gulfood 2009

ZABEEL HALL Stand ZD-106

The German packaging machine manufacturer Wolf Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH and the German cartoning machine specialist 3S Packaging Technology GmbH will present together a fully automatic bag-in-box line for tea packing at this years Gulfood.

On booth no. ZD-108 / ZD-106, Zabeel Hall, the companies will show a Wolf VPE 250, an intermittently working vertical form, fill and seal machine equipped with a multihead weigher (10 heads). The VPE 250 forms a bag from a film roll stock. After the vertical and the bottom seals are closed the multihead weigher drops the tea through the forming tube into the bag. Following the top of the bag is sealed and the bag is being transferred via a discharge belt to a Wolf triple stage loader. This stage loader drops the bag on time into the continuously running product infeed chain of the Pegasus ES130 endload cartoning machine. The Pegasus ES130 uses a rotary carton feed mechanism which removes the pre-glued cartons from a magazine. After the carton is erected and transferred to the carton chain the filled tea bag is pushed into the box.
The upper and lower flaps of the box are automatically closed and glued with hot melt. The line will work at 80 packs per minute and only one operator is needed to run the whole installation!

All these machines stand out for their flexibility and variability, as well as for high speed, robust and hygienic design.
In a few words, they are excellent examples for “Made in Germany” quality and prove how to bring reliability and high performance to the greatest possible extent.
